If you have been by our Press Posts Sponsors page, you may have seen a little badge for a program called “Friends of Pfister.” Because of this program, Building Moxie, like many other bloggers, gets exclusive access to the company’s products.
Now, as you know, the holidays are steadily approaching. And … maybe you have your sights set on entertaining, you know – having family and friends over. But wait! And maybe you have even given a quick thought to what you can do. I mean – by way of a painless and quick holiday upgrade to your … crib.
Here’s one, and we’ve written about it (15 Budget Friendly Kitchen Ideas). One of the easiest, simple upgrades – swapping out your kitchen faucet.
“How easy, how simple?”
Well, bloggers the Flipping Couple say, “We installed it (their kitchen faucet) in 24 minutes. TWENTY-FOUR MINUTES. … we had a gorgeous new faucet installed and running in less than a half hour.”
Featured in that post – a Pfister Pasadena in Pfister’s newest premium finish – Slate. The company says, “Slate is as versatile and as stylish as stainless, but more resilient.” And I gotta say on first glance I am impressed by this dark brushed metal; in fact, it is quite distinctive.
Slate joins Chrome, Brushed Nickel, Stainless Steel, Tuscan Bronze, Midnight Chrome & Black as a available Pfister finishes. The Pasadena includes Pfister’s Pfinish Guard as well as AccuDock and EZ Clean plus a 2-function spray head. Learn more about Slate, here.

I think this faucet would complement a new backsplash nicely. good luck Judith.
I think I would change the hardware on my cabinets
New hardware can really spruce up a space fast. Hopefully you’ll be matching finish to a new faucet in Slate. ha! good luck. happy holidays Ann. ~jb
Yes we are hosting, we are actually currently replacing the handles on our kitchen cabinets and updating the hinges.
hardware is a high impact, relatively pain free upgrade. good luck in the contest, it’d be grand if you would coordinate a new faucet with new hardware … and warm wishes for this holiday season. ~jb
