Update an Ugly Ceiling With Ceiling Tile :: Manufacturer Spotlight – Armstrong

*******

Do you have an existing ugly ceiling in desperate need of a fix?  You might want to consider Ceiling Tile. No, not those old boring industrial looking ones often used in basements. Armstrong, for example, has some great looking residential ceiling options for today’s home.

A Bad Ceiling can Ruin a Good Room

The first thing one sees and says upon entering this room is, “Oh My! Gotta leak?”  Then the mind shifts to – how long has it been there, or numerous other not-so-flattering judgments are formed about what might otherwise be a very charming homeowner.  No amount of decorating with artwork on the walls will keep the eye from wandering to this bad ceiling.

Bad ceilings are my pet peeve, they can end up looking like a forgotten fifth wall in a room which only draws more attention towards them. When asked by Armstrong what I might do, with this particular ceiling – if it were mine, one quick trip to their website offered a number of suitable ceiling options.

Take a look at the architecture of the room, classic with nice molding. We want to stay true to these fixed details not fight with them. Ceiling tiles would be the best bet. Note: Many available in Armstrong’s shop on Amazon.

When a Room Has Flow

The ceiling tile called Circles caught my eye.  It has just the right amount of oomph for this ceiling without feeling too heavy or too dramatic. The curves and softness of the shapes are a wonderful foil to the numerous straight lines already in the room. This gives a room flow. The texture provides interesting details. Visit my post on Flow and details in a historic interior to learn just how relevant they are today to help make a room feel comfortable and enjoyable to be in.

Ahh, now this would be pretty. Armstrong ceiling products can be a great fix for an ugly ceiling.
