Now, I happen to know that Apple products are pretty tough. I have a carpenter friend who takes his Apple laptop on the job site daily. But still, I had some pretty strong reservations about taking this delicate, wafer thin tablet computer along for my daily bumpy ride.

Today, many people have solar-powered something. Hybrid vehicles and other types of alternative energy are popping up every day, so why couldn’t an electric line trimmer be just as good and in a small way help lower our dependency on gas? All this is going through my head as I’m sitting on my couch just after mowing my lawn, with long grass still around my house and fence line and with said Homelite still sitting in the middle of the garage. Then, the next thing I see is Black & Decker's commercial for their complete line of battery-powered lawn equipment. [ . . . ]

When I finished unpacking things from the weighty box, I was quick to notice the embossed features on the piece; elephants and zebras - nicely made, again, perfect. Sitting there in my office, not far from the computer that I write at - I made this thing happen.
I really liked the way everything was labeled very clearly. I was even more impressed that the hex-screws included for the fastening of the structural elements were long, possibly up to four inches long. [ . . . ]
