Wren Kitchens :: Why Choose a Fitted Kitchen?
Why choose a fitted kitchen?
If you’ve decided to revamp your kitchen, the first thing you’ll need to think about is whether you want a fitted kitchen or a free-standing design. The choice you make will be dependent upon a number of different factors and it’s worth taking some time out to do your research and decide which is best for you.
Do you have a small kitchen?
If you sometimes find you’re a bit short of space in your kitchen, getting a fitted kitchen could be the answer you’re looking for. Whatever space you’ve got in the room, you’ll be able to design a kitchen which fits perfectly.
Those of you with a fairly small kitchen probably find storage is the biggest issue to overcome. But if you have a fitted kitchen, like the ones from Wren Kitchens, you’ll have the flexibility to choose as many cabinets and cupboards as you want. You’ll also be able to decide the shape and size you need, so if you’ve got awkward corners, you might still be able to find something to fill the space.
Are you keen to make your mark on your kitchen?
The best thing is, with the aid of online design tools, you’ll be able to create a tailor-made fitted kitchen design to go in the space you have available. If you’re concerned about getting accurate measurements, many companies, including Wren Kitchens, offer a home measurement service so you can be sure your fitted kitchen will actually fit.
A fitted kitchen can be as unique as you want it to be. You’ll be able to choose everything from the material of your worktops, to your sink, and tap accessories — meaning you can make sure your fitted kitchen complements the décor elsewhere in your home. Another thing is that you’ll be able to take your appliances into account when you’re choosing your fitted kitchen. Whether you want to hide your fridge behind a cabinet door or have your oven out in the open, that’s entirely up to you, but with a fitted kitchen — it’s possible to do whatever you want.
Why choose a fitted kitchen over a free-standing one?
Not everyone is lucky enough to have a massive farmhouse-style kitchen in their home. If you are, then a free-standing kitchen is a good option, but if you’re keen to maximise the space you have available, fitted kitchens are the way forward. Your cabinets can have pull-out interior fittings in them, so not all of your kitchen essentials are on display all of the time. And, if your kitchen isn’t a regular shape, you’ll find it far easier to have a fitted kitchen instead of free-standing units.
How much time will I need to get a fitted kitchen?
Once you’ve chosen the fitted kitchen of your choice, you’ll probably wait around a month for it to be delivered to your home. As fitted kitchens are designed to fit specific spaces, it needs to be tailor-made for yours. If you order your fitted kitchen from Wren Kitchens, it won’t come in a flat-pack design – but it will come at flat-pack prices. The cabinets will already be put together, with hinges and doors firmly in place, so the only things you’ll need to fit are the legs and handles. You should probably set aside around two weeks to get the task done, but obviously this will depend how long you spend installing things each day and how large your kitchen is. It’s best to use qualified service engineers and plumbers to connect up all your appliances though either way, as you won’t be best pleased if you end up with a leaky washing machine!
