Old and New
I got a new smart phone and now, all I want to do is berate myself. This is my usual reaction to acquiring new technology. With great power comes great self-loathing. I suspect it’s because I know that, no matter how hard I try, I will not be able to utilize this new thing completely. Its capabilities are simply too deeply nested for me to capitalize upon them all. Who has the time?
Still, I love me some new technology. It is a thrill to open a door I have been through before to find a much bigger room than I remember. I am all about expanding rooms. (even if there are parts of them I will seldom, if ever, explore)

Yes, and the name “SmartPhone” just serves to remind me that I am “DumbUser.” I think whoever made up the name was just rubbing it in.
