Audio is something I have been trying to work into my routine for some time now. I like recording, so it seems natural that I would record notes to myself. I began with voice recorders and moved into my phones. I have just gotten a new phone that understands me – somewhat. I can tell from the software which converts voice to text. If I talk really slow this phone gets me.

Some time ago, I read an article in the New York Times called: It is for you defective day of hats, no? It was about (then) state of the art translation software. “Defective day of hats” was “bad hair day” translated into Italian and then back into English. Thinking about that article, I decided to record voice to text on this phone for my post today. I spoke at my normal pace and tried to say simple things. I got swept along a little and messed with spacing but left out punctuation.

Speak Now

(The title, up there, is yet another incarnation of bad hair day.)
