I Know . . . I Know (BMoxie on Hiatus)
. . . about the speed of the site. and mainly because of this . . . we will refrain from posting until some improvements can be made.
Well . . . that, and I am going on vaca with the fam. Get this . . . though, we are vacationing in Rehobeth Beach, DE. Yes, in the slower, lower - b‘s part of the world.
It will be a great opportunity for the board of directors to convene AND to discuss such high level topics as . . . What the hell is this site about?
I think we have come to the conclusion, and as we have received posts from a wide and varying group of cool kids. . . (you know who you are) . . . that the scope and or scale has, well, expanded. We are growing at a rate that was. not. expected.
We started out with “The Do it Together Home Project, Life and Learning Blog” for a tag line, loosely associated with my business. But . . . it’s time to open it up and to ask for, well . . . help!!!! Please leave a comment (hrrmmm Rich H.?); we are looking for your help with giving this site an identity.
Expect that on the other side of these improvements we will be located at buildingmoxie.com, (I will be moving my business site elsewhere) and that the site will at least be a little faster. New posts hopefully the week of 7.12.
If you have been Tagged! please keep it coming! Expect upcoming posts from and/or about @AkRenovations, @tammyjdalton & @Chesapeake_Home. Plus a sit down with the first lady . . . @leahthayer . . . can you say oooooo — sexy! and you know, to see what she is up to.

Why not just stick with the tag line “Be More; Be Better”….for it is only through the insight of others that we become better. It kind of wraps up the posts to a T. I’ve learned at least something from each post here. As far as the variety, I love it. Some of the posts have been on a personal growth experience and others have struck upon an aha on a business level. Come one, come all, we all represent some aspect of the building industry. We grow strong by strengthing others…and entertaining.
I agree that it may one day become self sustaining. It may be that you just need to nudge some of the quiet ones (like me) that haven’t posted in a while and get them back on track. Guilt is a powerful thing that often doesn’t take much effort and isn’t viewed as a bad thing.
In any event, we’ll see you when you return. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the site and look forward to remaining involved. Since, I do not post for our blog (done by others), I love the prospect of being able to post here and give out the little knowledge I have *sheepish grin*.

Amy thank you for your thoughts. . . and I think *that* was some of what we wanted to hear when we started this “tagged!” thing — “you don’t have to be a writer, but you have to write.”
We are happy to have you any time Amy — and now, I’ll have to guilt you one of these days. . . hopefully the week away will provide some q time for thinking about direction, or at least how to communicate it better.
Great week.

jb & b,
First…enjoy the break…you’ve both been working crazy hard.
On the blog, well, its evolution is a significant part of the journey and an element that I find most attractive. I agree with Richard…keep pioneering…and keep it loose. It’s like a treasure trove each time I open the blog and especially refreshing because I feel I’ve come to know lots of “every day” writers with interesting things to say…mind-widening connections that would not have been made absent “The Blog”. Thanks!
A thought: Tagged is unique and quite generous for those who accept. Have you considered tying “Tagged” to periodic topics? For instance, tag several writers with a specific topic and let them tear into it…sometimes the mere suggestion of a topic is catalytic for those with their pens, errrrr, keyboards, at-the-ready.
Have fun with the family in the slower, lower and give my regards to b!
Happy fourth!

I feel for you (speaking for all of us out here in Moxie World) and the pangs of growth you are experiencing with this vehicle of expression. Watching it evolve into the multi-voiced platform that it has assumed has been surprising and welcome; it is always a pleasure to tune in and see what the daily offering is. You are a bit of a pioneer blazing a new trail in blog world – the variety of voices and opinions gathered under your “building better” umbrella is unique (and ever more so…). I am honored to be in such good company!
As we have shared, I have aspirations of bettering my own simple blog, but BMoxie is my default right now. I think that the path you might want to follow with this outlet is apparent already – it has taken on a life and direction of its own. I hope (for you) it can become self-sustaining at some time also – wouldn’t that be sweet!)… Let it continue to flow, with a few nudges and tinkering as needed such as load speed – we will try to back you up and keep the flag aloft.
